Theresa banks memorial. Our team was selected to provide renovations to the existing dormant facility. Our team provided design services from 2011-2012. It is a year-round indoor pool, Theresa Banks Memorial Aquatics Center is accessed through the adjacent Glenarden Community Center. This facility's amenities include 20-yard lap lanes, a spa/hot tub, an outdoor paIto area with Funbrellas and shower/changing facilities with lockers. Our team provided complete design services to include architecture/engineering, schematic design, de- sign development, construction documents, construction administration, and furniture fixtures and equipment for the pool and adjacent community center.

This aquatics facility is dedicated in the memory of Theresa Douglas Banks (1905-1972), a committed educator, community and dedicated welfare worker. During her career, she was the first female member of the Glenarden Town Council, served as Town Clerk, and was a teacher at Highland Park Elementary School.
